Part of the MADE IN SCOTLAND SHOWCASE 2019
Ancient mythology and performance storytelling collide in a contemporary exploration of the legacy of colonialism and slavery by award winning Scottish Kenyan storyteller Mara Menzies.
A dying mother gives her daughter a box containing three clues to a priceless treasure. Despite the ever present force of the Shadowman, this sets in motion a journey filled with humour, tragedy that considers the importance of ritual, identity and belonging. With an original soundtrack, a narrative rooted in the oral tradition, this is storytelling for a new age.
